Spirituality Right Details by SkyeTrinity Spirituality Right Details by SkyeTrinity
I wanted to post pictures in which more detail of the piece could be seen….The entire beadwork is described as follows:

This is a piece of bead embroidery that I will be attaching to the cover of a hand made leather journal. It is symbolic of my spiritual beliefs...

All of the beads are glass and range from size 15 to size 10. The fossil in the center is an Ammonite. On the left side is an opal cabochon, although the colors is not really seen in this photo. On the right side is a mother of pearl cabochon, ditto on the colors. Everything was stitched onto a piece of starched felt which I then trimmed around. This piece has been photographed on a piece of black felt, but is not attached. Some of the darker edges are hard to see... I wish I could get a better quality of picture, but for now this is the best I can do.

What a tedious piece of work.
It came out beautifully, however.
I wish I were more disciplined with
my bead work

It took me about 6 months... I kept getting sick of doing it and putting it aside, but I am very happy with the outcome...now only if I could finish mounting it on a journal...

Thank you so much! It is really fun, well except when it is stressfull, but you know what I mean with beadwork. You should try it out. I thought you had posted a necklace that was made in a similar way...let me go hunt for the link...[link] What technique did you use on that piece?

That necklace was made with circular brick stitch. That's really fun because all the circular and oval elements are made up beforehand, and then connected as a final step.
