Description
A Hint of the Ocean was created as a present for my grandmother. I really went with something different from my usual “style”. I wanted to make something simple, but classy as I am not entirely sure what style she is into. I guessed at the colors, but if I remember right she said I got lucky because blue is her favorite color!
The focal was created using a nice piece of mother of pearl. There are also “chunks” of mother of pearl on the strung part of the necklace and the hanging fringe. The materials I used include size 10 and 15 seed beads. I actually made this piece before I was able to get a large order of my beads in, so it was kind of a “use what you got” scenario. The beads are embroidered on to starched felt which is backed by imitation leather cloth. The strand is a triple stringing technique.

That's really pretty. I like how you framed the pendant in with seed beads. That's something I don't know how to do and I love the look of it. Great job
